Por Ahí Dicen

Project Title: Por Ahí Dicen

Project Description:
The goal of this project is to develop Spanish multimedia campaign, specifically public service announcements, to promote mother-child communication about sexual health. We will assess the effectiveness of a theory-based Spanish public media campaign using public service announcements (PSAs) designed to enhance Puerto Rican mothers' beliefs regarding mother-child communication about sexuality and strategies to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted illnesses (outcome expectation); beliefs regarding their ability to engage in these conversations with their child (self-efficacy); and mother-child communication on these topics (communication behavior). The PSAs will consist of oral, visual, and written storytelling vignettes delivered by Spanish media channels including television, radio and print.
